It is a game engine issue not hardware issue. So yes you have to use ATI Catalyst to force AA. Or just get bigger resolution. Work with this game on 6046x1080 with my 5970. Also the new 6series is about to come so i would wait if I would be you.

Sounds like a driver issue, download an updated driver from nVidia.com / or tweakforce.com they got modded drivers for all nvidia based cards and ati cards, that increese fps. BTW you only need 25fps to see everything smooth
